The recent release of Lenovo K5 Note’s updated 64 GB version signifies the kind of space the phone has created for itself in Indian smartphone market.

Lenovo as a brand has grown leaps and bounds since it made its foray into India. Before it laid its hands on selling mobile phones, Lenovo had already made a name for itself in the Laptop market and that too against the mighty likes of Dell, Acer, etc.

Lenovo K3 Note, which was launched in India in 2015 became one of the best-selling phones of Lenovo. With players like Samsung, Sony, Home-Bred Micromax and the ‘Apple’ of China, Xiaomi, already ruling the hearts of Indian smartphone lovers, Lenovo K3 Note was able to give a tough fight to all these brands and become one of the well received phones of that time. So much so that Lenovo immediately after a very short period of time, came up with Lenovo K4 Note. Although, not as popular as its predecessor, the K4 note was also able to create a mark for itself.

So when Lenovo launched the 5th generation K series note phone, it very well knew that with this, it would rise to newer heights as a smartphone brand in India.

What makes Lenovo K5 Note so special, is the kind of care that Lenovo has taken to enhance the phone’s sound system. With sound features like 3-array Microphone System (High-spec), Single Rear Speakers, Wolfson WM8281 Audio Codec, Dolby Atmos Support and Karaoke, Lenovo K5 Note is certainly one of those smartphones that will give the buyer theatre-like experience while watching movies or even playing games.

Apart from its sound quality, the K5 Note also has some cool features that are worth discussing.


Lenovo K5 Note comes with a solid and well-built metal body and has a curved metal back. The overall built quality of phone can be termed as something that makes it the best K series smartphone.


The colors on the K5 Note’s 5.5 inch Full HD display with 401 PPI looks sharp and vibrant. The best thing about the display is the fact that even in sunlight, it does not create any issue and the screen is easily visible to naked eyes without any extra efforts.


With, an octa-core Helio P10 chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz and coupled with a Mali-T860 GPU and 4 GB RAM, the K5 Note’s overall performance is a joy for any kind of smartphone lover. From speed to smoothness, the phone, bundled with Mediatek’s one of the most popular chipset, offers everything that is needed for a smartphone to be called a good smartphone. Even while playing heavy games like Nova 4 or Asphalt 8, the gaming experience was without any frame-drop or lag.


Lenovo’s K5 Note comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel at the back. The photos taken from both the cameras were good and had more than decent color accuracy even in low light conditions.


Lenovo K5 Note comes with a moderate 3500 mah battery that can last for a complete day on normal usage.


Other than the above features, Lenovo’s K5 note runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with its own UI offering some interesting features and has a fingerprint scanner on the back.


Although the choice may become hard if we have to select between Lenovo K5 Note and Xiaomi Redmi 4, but if you are someone who prefers a brand that has a name for itself created over a longer period of time, then the K5 Note should be a definite buy for you.
