It has been 4 years since Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar played the last international match of his life in 2013 and after which he retired from every form of international cricket. But for a batsman, considered to be one of the greatest batsmen of the world, Sachin Tendulkar still commands the same respect as before in India. The new phone from Smartron, named as srt or Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, is a testimony of the kind of stature that this great batsman has amongst his fans.
Talking about Smartron, it is a Hyderabad based new start-up company on the lines of India’s honorable prime minister Shri Narendra Modi’s dream project called Start-up India. With a vision to build India’s first true global technology OEM brand designed and engineered in India for India and the world, Smartron’s main focus areas are sensors, robotics, and the cloud and aims to become a premier global IoT convergence brand. Smartron made its entry into the Indian market with its t.book laptop-tablet hybrid in 2016 and then launched its first smartphone called the t.phone priced at Rs 25000.
With the backing of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Smartron in 2017 launched the srt phone. The specs of the phone clearly reflect the attitude of this home-bred electronic brand and its mission to change the scenario of the Indian smartphone market that has Chinese giants like Lenovo and Xiaomi calling the shots. Why I say so is because Smartron has done something which even brands like Micromax or Intex cannot even think doing even now.
Let’s know more about the impeccable specs of the phone and review them one by one.
For an Indian brand that is new, Smartron’s srt phone has a great all-polycarbonate shell that’s smooth to the touch and gives a metallic built look to the phone. With a fingerprint scanner on the back, the srt phone is not slippery like its counterparts and is easy to hold in day-to-day usage.
The srt phone comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD display along with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a ppi of 401. The overall viewing angles are quite good and the color representation is vibrant and accurate.
This is where Smartron scored a monstrous sixer like Sachin Tendulkar by using the all popular octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor clocked at1.8GHz. With Adreno 510 GPU clubbed with 4GB of RAM, the gaming experience of the phone would be an ultimate one considering the fact that Snapdragon 652 is one of the best processors from Qualcomm that is fast and efficient.
The srt phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front snapper. Although the photos cannot be considered the best, but they are good enough to not disappoint you.
Smartron’s srt phone has a 3000 mah battery that has the provision of fast charging. For moderate usage, the battery capacity is enough to carry your phone for a full day.
Other than the above features, Smartron’s srt runs on Google’s latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat software with little or no unwanted apps onboard, has 64 GB internal storage and comes with USB Type-C for charging and data syncing.
It’s worth trying since the phone has some great specs and at a price of Rs. 13999, it won’t burn a hole in your pocket.
