Vibe K5 Plus Review

In today’s time, Full HD screens are considered to be an added plus point for a phone that is aiming to capture the heart of smartphone users. But then, it is generally seen that phones with Full HD displays come with a screen size of 5.5 inches or more than that. So, the question is that what do you do if we are one of those individuals who love small and compact phones with a Full HD display resolution? Well, Lenovo seems to finally have the answer to this question. And the answer is its newly launched Lenovo Vibe K5 plus.

Launched at a competitive price of Rs. 8499, Lenovo Vibe K5 plus is an upgraded version of the much successful Lenovo Vibe K5 which was launched a few months ago. The basic up gradation is in the RAM as the new Vibe K5 plus comes with 3 GB of RAM and the higher screen resolution of 1080×1920 as compared 720p in the previous phone.

Talking about the phone, Lenovo Vibe K5 plus comes with a full plastic build with a metal finish around the edges. The look of the phone is no doubt great and elegant. With its compact size, it is very easy to use the phone with one hand in our day-to-day life.

As far as the screen size and display is concerned, the 5 inches Full HD display is a joy to watch videos, surf internet, and play games. Not that the previous 720p screen was bad, but the new upgrade made by Lenovo has made the Vibe K5 plus a super competitor against the like of Redmi 3 and other budget smartphones. Moreover, the phone also supports Lenovo’s AntVR headset for ultimate media experiences.

As usual, the new Vibe K5 plus comes with the same octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor along with 3 GB of RAM. The performance of the processor can be termed as more than average and the overall experience with the phone is almost lag-free.

The Rear camera is a 13 megapixel one while on the front is a 5-megapixel snapper. Photos from both the cameras are good and represent accurate colors. although the low-light performance is a bit disappointing but considering the price at which this phone is offered, we can say that it won’t be a big compromise for the users.

The battery can be termed as the biggest disappointment since it was expected that Lenovo would definitely enhance the battery capacity to at least 3000 mah in the Vibe K5 plus but sadly it is kept at the same 2750 mah only. Thus, the user has to be careful while using the phone to ensure that it lasts for a full working hours with just one charge.

Apart from this, the Lenovo Vibe K5 plus comes with 16 GB of internal storage, dolby atmos sound enhancement, and android lollipop.

Verdict

A good enough choice for those who are ready to forgo the small battery and a plastic build.
