Just 10-15 days back, it was announced that since Yu Televentures, part of Indian mobile Brand Micromax, is not able to turn the tables in its favors in terms of sales or revenue earning, it might face a permanent shut down very soon. The news was not at all surprising for mobile enthusiasts like me who follow each and every brand very closely.
After 2014, since the advent of Xiaomi, the Indian mobile phone market has flooded with a number Chinese mobile phone brands that include the likes of Vivo, Oppo, Gionee and especially Oneplus. And in fact, these Chinese mobile brands have actually gone on to make a name for themselves in India by offering mobile phones that have nice specs and a nicer cheap price. This resulted in many of the homegrown mobile phone brands like Karbonn, Lava, Intex and Micromax facing a total boycott from their own Indian consumers who were swayed by Xiaomi and its Chinese counterparts. Micromax was not only dislodged from its number 2 position but also failed to remain amongst the top 5 mobile brands in India. Thus, after such a scenario, it was inevitable for Yu to face the fate it was about to face.
But then something very surprising and shocking happened. Yu came up with an announcement that on 1st June 2017, it was going to launch a new mobile phone. And believe it or not, they actually launched the product on the said date. The name of the new mobile phone was Yu Yureka Black which was termed as the successor of the inaugural phone of Yu and the most popular amongst all from the company called Yu Yureka.
The whole hype surrounding the phone was almost about to be fulfilled when some of the most prominent smartphone pundits of India revealed the fact that Yu Yureka Black is actually a direct ripoff of the Wiko ufeel prime. Wiko is a French mobile brand which has still not entered the Indian market.
But even then, Yu Yureka Black has some really good specs that deserve some attention and a detailed review from me.
The Yu Yureka Black has a superior metal unibody that looks good and elegant in black color.
With a 5-inch Full HD display (1080×1920 pixels), Yu Yureka Black is one of those few compact smartphones with a smaller screen that will give you a good viewing experience. The screen also has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection along with a 2.5D curved glass design.
Yu Yureka Black has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 MSM8937 64-bit processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Although, not amongst the best processors from Snapdragon, but still it is good enough to give you a good gaming experience and fulfilling your tasks smoothly without any lags.
The best thing about Yu Yureka Black is its 8-megapixel front camera that comes with a flash. This factor is sure to give the phone an edge over its counterparts especially at a point of time when clicking selfies have become a rage amongst smartphone users. The phone also has a 13 MP Sony IMX 258 rear camera that will give you beautiful photos even in poor light conditions.
The Yu Yureka Black has a 3000mah battery which for a 5-inch screen is enough to power the phone for a full on a single charge even with heavy data usage.
Apart from the other above features, the Yu Yureka Black has a fingerprint sensor on the front and runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.
Seems to be a good phone and I would definitely suggest with full confidence that you won't regret your choice of buying this phone.
